Challenge 2023
TDC 2023 is a 3-day event on the theme “Travel and Tourism” focusing on the development of innovative solutions to address the problem in the tourism industry existing in our society. The event aims to attract the most energetic, talented, and vibrant youth from all over Nepal to compete with each other to develop the most elegant solution. The participants will brainstorm, maybe code if necessary and create a working prototype within the event time.
Participants are selected through a rigorous application process. They are required to submit their ideas through an online application. Only the team with a selected idea is eligible for participation in the TDC and needs to register for the event. The registration fee for each team is marked as NRS 10,000 /- where each team consists of 3 individuals and the fee for individual participants is NRS 3500 /-. A total of 12 teams and 18 individual participants will be selected among all the applicants.

Mentorship
We provide mentorship to participants to grow their idea. Event consists of valuable experts who shall mentor the team.

Experts shall be sharing their experience in and before the event such that participants can learn from them.
Workshop
Various workshops on topic of business, Technology and tourism shall be delivered to participants for knowledge enhancement.
Networking Opportunity
TDC is hub for various organization such as government and private. Participants shall get exposed to those organizations.
Product Showcase Platform
Urja Valley shall be key heighlight of the event which provides opportunity to entrepruners to connect with clients.
Investment Opportunity
Finalist participants shall get investment opportunity and exposure to investors throughout and after the event.
Urja Valley
Urja valley which is a showcase event for entrepreneurs shall also be organized on the last day of the event. Different startup companies along with other service-providing companies will be provided an allocated stall where they will be able to showcase their idea, product, or service. The final day of the event will have attendees and visitors from different sectors, who will be visiting the stalls. Along with these Urja Valley will also have stalls where different food and beverage providers from Pokhara will display and supply their products to the visitors.

GET EXPERIENCE
Objectives of TDC
1. To help participants understand and tackle the challenges and needs in the tourism industry and help it improve with the use of information technology.
2. To help formulate ideas among participants towards solutions to existing problems will be generated by the participants.
3. To help participants in building up their idea with the proper use of technology.
4. To bring up ideas that will make an impact on the Travel & Tourism and Technology industry of Nepal.
5. To enhance the community experience of the entrepreneurship ecosystem.
6. To connect the sellable idea to investors.
7. To provide a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their idea, product, or service and connect with potential customers.
Scope of Event
Event Details & Schedule
TDC 2023 is a 3-day event at city of tourism, POKHARA. For the event, participants will form teams with 3 members and submit their applications. Even if any individual wants to participate with idea, organizing team shall form a team. The team and individuals will go through a selection process. Each selected team will be working on solving a thematic problem. The event comprises sessions where mentorship will be provided regarding the effective use of technology in tourism, tourism experience sharing, and business development. Each team shall work in the process while networking opportunities shall be leveraged throughout. At the end of the second day, participants are required to produce minimum viable solutions corresponding to their original idea and present them. Among them, only the top 7 shall get the opportunity to pitch in front of the investors. All participants will be provided with good internet access, food, and lodging throughout the event. They will also be provided with merchandise items such as Attendee Kit.
